Shuugo Daimon (大門 秀悟) is a character in the Cross Game series. He is the head coach of the varsity team during Kou's first year of high school. He was hired by intermin principal, Eitaro Shidou in an attempt to get Seishu to Koshien. He was disliked by many of the prefab players, and even some of the varsity team players.
Physical Appearance[]
Shuugo has black hair and black eyes. He is tall and is always seen with dark sunglasses on, earning him the nickname "sunglasses" (サングラス) or "sunglasses guy". He often wears a black and orange long sleeved shirt. He is almost always seen with a baseball cap on his head.
Personality[]
Shuugo is a stern man, with drill sergeant nasty tendencies, He also very quick to underestimate or dismiss players he doesn't deem worthy, turning his nose up at the prefab team members as he finds them to be weak. It's this trait of his that proves to be his downfall. He seems to have a very mean streak, not seeming to care if his players, or other players for that matter, are exhausted or injured, as seen when he dismisses Keiichirou Senda after Senda tries to show him a slip from the school nurse advising him to rest his pitching arm. Or when he uses Aoba as pitching machine even when she was at her limit.
